Behind the cup

Martir Fernandez comes from a family of coffee producers in the Santa Barbara mountains of Honduras. His four-hectare farm produces beautiful Yellow Catuai and Bourbon varieties. This coffee sips like a traditional Lake Yojoa coffee, with rich tropical forward notes balanced with a tea-like lightness.

Each coffee is roasted to order. Orders ship in 1-2 business days.

Farmlevel Story

Nestled in the Santa Barbara mountains, and one of our favorite growing regions of Honduras, sits the farm Bonanza. Martir Fernandez was given a plot of land from his father at 28 to continue the family business of producing coffee. Since then, he’s produced beautiful Yellow Catuai and Bourbon varieties, along with other crops like avocados and plantains and large shade trees. This four hectare farm has been a source of inspiration and love for Martir and his son. His extended family all live close by and have their own farms as well. They all share one large wet mill, which is sloped on the side of a large mountain overlooking Lake Yojoa.
