Elida Estate was Verve’s first Farmlevel partnership and remains our longest-standing producer relationship. This year, we’re celebrating that history with two remarkable Geshas from the Lamastus family. The El Burro Gesha offers vibrant, fruit-forward, jammy + subtly wine-like and notes of rainier cherry, watermelon, and jasmine.

100grams (3.53oz) - Whole Bean Only

Each coffee is roasted to order. Orders ship within 2 business days.

Farmlevel Story

Elida Estate is the first and longest Farmlevel relationship Verve established. Year after year, this Green Tip Gesha continuously astonishes everyone who takes a sip. The Lamastus family was already known for producing exceptional Catuai coffee when they endeavored to plant Gesha seeds on their estate. Entering their first harvest after 4½ years of maturation, Thatcher Lamastus and his son, Wilford, observed a unique feature among his Gesha trees: the youngest leaves on the end of each branch exhibited either bronze or green tips.
Wilford Lamastus and Verve co-founder Colby Barr sampled the two plants’ separated seeds and concluded that the green-tipped trees produced a superior cup to their bronze-tipped counterpart. Henceforth, Elida Estate was the first known farm to isolate and cultivate Green Tip Gesha.
