Kenya Rianjagi AA is a standout high-altitude coffee from Embu, offering vibrant acidity, floral aromatics, and a refined cup driven by the clarity of Kenya’s signature “double-washed” method. Produced by a farmer-owned cooperative with strict quality standards, this AA lot represents the best of Kenyan coffee craftsmanship.


Grown in the rich volcanic soils of Kenya’s Central Highlands, specifically in the Embu region, this coffee is cultivated at elevations of 1700 meters above sea level. The combination of cool temperatures, fertile land, and abundant rainfall contributes to a cup that is both vibrant in acidity and layered with fruity, floral complexity.


Since 1976, the Rianjagi Farmers’ Cooperative Society has remained farmer-owned and focused on supporting its members through infrastructure, education, and strict processing guidelines. Only ripe cherries are accepted in the mill, where they are sorted and processed using Kenya’s labor-intensive but highly effective “double-washed” method. This lot’s AA grading is the highest tier, reflecting large seed size and minimal defects, resulting in a clean, expressive, and exceptionally bright cup.
