BEHIND THE CUP

Crisp sweetness of Green Apple complements the vibrant acidity of Lime in Maria Baide’s homegrown Honduran coffee. Comforting richness of Panela adds depth, creating a delightful balanced and harmonious cup.

Each coffee is roasted to order. Orders ship in 1-2 business days.

Farmlevel Story

On the side of Mount Santa Barbara overlooking Lake Yojoa sits Maria Baide’s small but mighty farm, Las Flores. Maria has built a place to wash and grow high quality specialty coffee on just 1.75 acres, and works closely with our farmlevel partners at Benificio San Vicente, a nearby dry mill. The microclimate on the side of the mountain provides a unique place to grow coffee that always yields amazing results. The Parainema cultivar grown in this environment has sweet but delicate tea-like qualities.

She and her husband live in a bright purple house on the mountainside, covered with flowers and surrounded by coffee trees. The drying beds are just right on her patio so she can watch her coffee closely at all times. We buy 100% of her coffee, and are so lucky to have this partnership with her. This is our third year buying Maria’s coffee and we’re looking forward to seeing more of her coffee in the coming years.
