Behind the Cup

Grown at 1,640 meters on the southern slopes of the Santa Bárbara Mountain Nature Reserve, this washed Parainema benefits from cool temperatures and slow cherry maturation. Careful processing preserves clarity and sweetness, creating a cup defined by bright acidity, crisp fruit, and a remarkably clean finish.

Each coffee is roasted to order. Orders ship within 2 business days.

Farmlevel Story

Edgardo Tinoco planted his first coffee plot in 1995 as a teenager, beginning a journey that would establish him as one of Honduras’s most respected producers. His farms are located on the southern slopes of the Santa Bárbara Mountain Nature Reserve, a biodiverse landscape of cloud forests, tropical jungles, and pine forests. After reaching the finalist stage of the Cup of Excellence in 2009, Edgardo continued refining his cultivation approach, placing third in 2010 before earning first place in 2011 with an impressive 91.78-point score.

Beyond coffee, Edgardo is known for his energetic personality and enthusiasm for cars, often spotted driving his bright blue Jeep through the region. Verve has proudly partnered with him for more than a decade, witnessing firsthand the consistency and quality that have defined his work. This Parainema lot reflects the experience, dedication, and pursuit of quality that continue to shape Edgardo’s reputation today.
