Grown at 2,100 meters in Ethiopia’s Limu region, this washed coffee benefits from abundant rainfall and forested growing conditions that replenish organic matter in the soil. Washed processing preserves the coffee’s delicate structure and expressive aromatics, highlighting the bright citrus and concentrated sweetness characteristic of this lot.

Biftu Gudina, whose name translates to “ray of development,” is a cooperative in Ethiopia’s Limu region built around a community of nearly 300 coffee-growing members. The cooperative accepts cherries exclusively from its members, whose agricultural training supports quality and consistency across their farms.
Beyond processing and quality control, Biftu Gudina supports its members through premium payments made at two points during the year, providing farmers with additional operating capital throughout the growing season. This combination of shared knowledge, careful production, and continued investment has helped establish the cooperative’s reputation for consistently high-quality coffee.
