New Flagship Roastery and Cafe in the LA Arts District

New Flagship Roastery and Cafe in the LA Arts District

Our newest SoCal location spotlights an innovative community-driven space serving our craft coffee alongside an expanded seasonal menu and signature beverages.

California roots run deep at Verve. We’re excited to share our coffee roasting headquarters expansion from the original Seabright Roastery to another flagship down south: Roastery Del Sur in the LA Arts District. “Since our start over a decade ago, we have focused on spreading the Verve mentality - a union of California spirit, imagination, and love of life - to coffee lovers everywhere,” said Mike Eyre, Verve CEO. “We are thrilled to take the next step in our growth by opening a second roastery, which provides a greater platform to integrate our passion for design, community, and craft coffee experimentation.” We’re bringing our high-quality coffee roasting abilities to the heart of Los Angeles’ Art District with a 7,000 square-foot roastery, cafe, and restaurant combo. Get ready for magical coffee-scented air, DTLA!

Our new first-of-its-kind roastery experience in the Arts District will give coffee-lovers the chance to look behind the curtain at the next wave of craft coffee,” said Colby Barr, Co-Founder of Verve Coffee Roasters. “This space will not only allow us to keep innovating and growing as a brand, but also give Verve fans and LA locals a new community space to connect, try fresh new offerings from Verve, and expand their knowledge of what we live and breathe every day - coffee.

Roastery Del Sur features an innovative menu led by “Chopped Champions” winner and Michelin star restaurant chef Mario Tolentino. He’s been busy experimenting and prepping an entirely new, seasonal, and sustainable menu. The core concept was to match Verve’s high-quality coffee with an elevated food experience. Between vegan “beetstrami”, or sesame banana pancakes, Chef Mario’s rotating menu will have you coming back again and again. To top off our foodie-lovers menu, we’ll be offering Superba and Erin McKenna treats for when your coffee needs a delicious baked companion.

To build on your coffee dreams, we created a Craft Coffee Bar that features hand-mixed coffee-centric drinks alongside eighteen built-in taps for draft coffee beverages. Stop by to try one of our full-flavored non-alcoholic coffee-centric drinks crafted on demand.

Roastery Del Sur Craft Coffee Bar Drink

Featured Craft Coffee Drink: The Smoked Chicory Latte is a base of Flash Brew concentrate shaken with a housemade bitters blend, chicory cordial and gently smoked. We sourced the chicory from Penn Herb Co. LTD., one of the largest and oldest spice purveyors in the United States.

Roastery Del Sur Food - Pancakes

Featured Dish: The Banana Seasame Pancake doubles as edible fine art. The sweetness of poached seasonal berries topped with black sesame syrup is expertly balanced with silky mascarpone.

We tapped the finest minds to bring the dynamic roastery to life. Design, Bitches architecture firm created a light-filled, multi-use space that can quickly transform from cupping lab to event space. Terremoto LA, known for its work with The Getty and Palihouse Santa Monica, was commissioned to bring the outdoors in by creating their signature plant-life interiors. Botanical lovers, get your cameras ready. The new space wouldn’t be complete without the custom macramé art installation by Bay Area artist Windy Chien. Rounding out the superstar design contributors, Young Jerks, a Brooklyn-based creative studio making waves in the graphic design world, created multiple large-scale art pieces for the roastery as part of our ongoing partnership.
