Cruz Foam utilizes chitin - the second most abundant biopolymer in the world. This chitin is sourced from the shells of shrimps, a product that would ordinarily go straight to landfill. Seventy percent of Cruz Foam is made from upcycled ingredients, meaning these ingredients are repurposed waste from other products. By prioritizing circular ingredients, Cruz Foam provides a sustainable experience from sourcing to disposal.

The entire Cruz Cool is curbside recyclable (that’s right - the whole package). The Foam inside is industrially compostable, made from natural, earth-friendly, circular ingredients with a minimized carbon footprint. Cruz Foam takes 60 days or less to compost in an industrial setting. Once Cruz Cool gets to the recycling center, the Cruz Foam washes out, leaving the usable fibers to be made into further paper products.
