This bright Catuai lot comes from Tarrazú, one of Costa Rica’s finest coffee growing regions. It sips like an elevated classic cup that’s balanced and full-bodied with a lingering sweetness, and is the ideal cup to kickstart any morning.

Farmlevel Story

The Calderon family are beloved longstanding partners of Verve and possess an inspiring passion for coffee. Based in the Tarrazú region of Costa Rica, the Calderons' exceptional coffees result from an impressive family operation. Don Omar Calderon manages the family's seven farms. His three daughters, Yoanna, Diana, and Yoxise, oversee the processing at their micro-mill (across the street from Omar's brother's mill, Los Angeles). Doña Yorleni treats her guests to coffee brewed with a traditional cloth dripper in their family's kitchen. Yoanna and Yoxise have stepped up their processing this year and have taken on more at the mill. This Catuai selection is grown at 1800 meters above sea level at their farm, known simply as "Ortiz 1800.”
