Behind the cup
It's more than likely there are multiple bags of coffee somewhat open on your counter at any given time. It can be challenging to figure out which to brew. This coffee has a wide variety of brew methods and is honestly easy to sip when you’re not ready to make decisions just yet. Balanced with sweet summer citrus, this coffee can fit all of your needs.
STORY
This Single Origin Espresso comes from the efforts of the Madrid Family. They have been producing coffee in Honduras for four generations. This year’s blend is comprised of coffee from Esteban and the father-son duo of Franklin and Denilson. We’ve always been fans of the amazing coffee that they produce, you may even recognize these names from previous year’s single origin offerings. Some Verve favorites from the Madrid Family include La Fortuna and La Patepluma. Rooted in coffee-growing culture and excellence, it’s no surprise that Denilson has big ambitions for his very own 5-hectare plot, La Peña. This plot is situated right beside two of our other all-time favorites, El Niño and La Colmena. Their farms are situated at the base of the national forest in the Santa Barabara Mountains in Honduras. One of Denilson’s favorite things about their farm is that you can hear the monkeys almost every afternoon from the forest.
