Teeming with fragrant florals and spices, this Gedeo zone coffee is reminiscent of an exotically spiced cider.

Due south of the famed Yirgacheffe town (not to be confused with the Yirgacheffe district or the Yirgacheffe Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union), lies the Gedeb town in - one of our favorite coffee-producing regions - the Gedeb district.
We’re not sure if it’s thanks to the fact that coffee can be found growing as high as 2,400 meters above sea level, or the slightly greater average parcel size of the Gedeb farmer (leading to a higher level of investment and ownership in his produce), or both - but we find coffees from this region to be characterized by the most dynamic bouquets of florals and warming spices of them all.
This washing station receives ripe coffee cherries from 700 local small-holder farmers. Upon delivery, coffee is de-pulped, wet-processed and hand-sorted whilst drying on raised beds for 12 to 20 days.
We believe the coffee experience is our responsibility from seed to cup. Coffee is our craft, our ritual, our passion. It drives us and inspires us. With this simple truth and responsibility we are bridging the gap from farmlevel to streetlevel. We are verve. Made in santa cruz.
