The Lamastus Family has been long known for growing and producing some of the most amazing Catuais out there. They have been producing for four generations, beginning with the foundation of Elida Estate by Robert Lamastus in 1918. 

Coffees from Elida Estate have raised the bar for specialty coffee across the world. Year after year coffee at Elida is prepared with impeccable knowledge and skill of quality grading. With the estate located at the foot of the eastern slopes of Volcan Baru, the land has a unique microclimate and a rich volcanic soil. 

This microclimate’s weather conditions during the harvest season are known as ‘El Bajareque,’ a combination of dense fog, and low temperatures. This weather increases the maturation of cherries present on trees, allowing more time for the production of sugar to occur, giving you sweet and rich flavors.
