Situated at 1,800 MASL on the slopes of the Santa Barbara mountain in Central Honduras, Lara’s Finca San Ramon boasts some of the most optimal conditions for growing coffee. As we stroll through the towering trees of Pacas and Bourbon it isn’t long until you run into the neighboring farm of another Farmlevel rock-star Danilo Pineda, you can frequently find Danilo’s two sons helping Ramon Lara harvest and deliver his product to Beneficio San Vicente.
In 2007, motivated to capitalize on his optimal farming conditions, Rodrigo Erazo began separating his lots by quality leading Verve to fall in love with La Mina. In 2013, Erazo sold his farm of 30 years to Ramon Lara that changed the name from La Mina to San Ramon. Six years later we are still as in love with San Ramon as we were when it was called La Mina.
We believe the coffee experience is our responsibility from seed to cup. Coffee is our craft, our ritual, our passion. It drives us and inspires us. With this simple truth and responsibility we are bridging the gap from farmlevel to streetlevel.
