Martinez’s coffee returns to anxiously awaiting fans and remains a Verve favorite. Microclimates allow Alexander Martinez to push the boundaries of cultivable elevations in El Cedral, Santa Barbara. His farm sits on not just an optimal, but an imperative spot to cultivate the complex acids that define sought-after specialty coffees. Split between two lots, bourbon and pacas, Martinez's coffee is traditionally processed and dried on raised beds. We first discovered his coffee in 2015 when we initially fell in love with the pineapple forwardness and complexity. As his plants continue to grow, he continues to deliver year after year on what originally drew us to this delicious coffee.
