    Brew Method:

    Edgardo Tinoco produces some of the best and distinct coffees. This coffee has a lot of floral aromatics--sensory activities can be fun. Try using lavender to smell before you take your first sip. Then, using a soft piece of material(piece of ribbon, cotton ball) to place in your hand and touch while you are drinking it. Does it change the perception of the body? Did you notice more aromas by smelling the flavors before your first sip?

    Following the launch of Edgardo’s first naturally processed coffee, we are excited to share another, La Leona.

    You’ll first notice an aromatic compound that is akin to fresh, ripe fruit. Edgardo Tinoco is known to experiment, pushing his varieties further each time and sharing his learnings through each cup. His many years of farming showcases his lifelong commitment to innovation. Three generations of farming on Pino De Oro have earned the farm many Honduran Cup of Excellence awards.

    What is the Cup of Excellence? The Cup of Excellence is an annual competition to identify the highest-quality cups produced in the world. Each cup is broken down by country and there are six cupping rounds. The Cup of Excellence also normalizes the higher prices being paid for green (unroasted) coffee. Any coffee producing country can enter for free, without meeting the lot size minimum, their first time participating. Any coffee that cups 90 or above receives a Presidential award and winning lots are later sold at an internet auction.
