A bright, grapefruit acidity pairs perfectly with a black tea complexity that lingers long after the first sip.

The Giakanja Factory started anew upon gaining independence from its cooperative, Tetu, fifty years ago. Today there are over 2,000 member smallholder farmers who supply freshly-picked coffee cherries to the factory.
The farmers in this Southern Nyeri region grow a mixture of SL-28 and SL-34 cultivars at altitudes of 1,700 to 1,900 meters. The small farms are gathered on the eastern slopes of the Aberdare mountain, providing the perfect mixture of morning sun and cool nighttime temperatures.
In addition to producing stunning coffees, the Giakanja Farmers Cooperative Society is also known for maintaining a transparent model and providing documented payment scales.
We believe the coffee experience is our responsibility from seed to cup. Coffee is our craft, our ritual, our passion. It drives us and inspires us. With this simple truth and responsibility we are bridging the gap from farmlevel to streetlevel. We are verve. Made in santa cruz.
